Chain Work 101

Details

Chain Work 101 is all about learning some of the most basic weaves.  I work one-on-one with each student; therefore, some classes may have several different weaves going on at the same time.  I will gather those together that have chosen the same weave and work the group when possible.  It will be assumed that each level taken prepares you for the next.

You may choose one weave from the following weaves listed.  You will only learn one weave...not all three.

Byzantine or Romanov

European 4-1

Shaggy Loops

Techniques

  • Time:  10-4
  • Day:  Saturday

Tool/Supply List:

  • For Romanov, 6mm Swarovski Bicone crystals (please bring your choice of colors to class)***
  • Chain-nose pliers, Flat-nose pliers, Round-nose pliers
If you have the tools above, please bring them with you to class.  I will have pliers available if you have none.

**Kit Available for rings only - Please order at least a week in advance to avoid an overnight shipping fee.

***Due to the nature of many different colors needed, I can not provide the variety without investing large amounts into crystals.  You may purchase these online by searching "Swarovski crystals" or at Hobby Lobby or Michaels.  The Chinese have developed a method of making "knock offs" that look pretty good.  Ebay is full of imitation Swarovski crystals....so, be careful if you want the real thing.  They will blatantly lie saying that they are Swarovski crystals...when, in fact, they are not.  I must say they look pretty good though!
